Emily, a daughter of Elissa, was appraised in 1847, $400.00. She was sold at public auction at the Lower Farm, Alleghany, Virginia on November 15, 1847 to D. Ford, $361.00. She was returned the next day for “an alleged defect.”

Emily was brought to Montgomery Hall. She was hired out to E. May with Julia in 1848. Emily was sold to E. May in the spring of 1849, $400.00.

Emily had at least one sibling, an infant (in 1847) of unknown gender. The infant and her mother, Elissa, were sold at public auction at the Farm in Alleghany County, Virginia on November 15, 1847 to Robert Sterrett.
