Waddell already owned Nancy Lucket’s husband, Ned. Waddell lived in Augusta County but was planning to remove to Raleigh, North Carolina with his family. He moved to North Carolina but returned to Virginia.
Nancy Lucket was hired out for a period of time in 1848 to A. M. Simpson. She was hired out in 1849 for a period of time to L. Waddell, Sr. She was hired out to Rd? M. B. Brown for a brief period in 1852.
