Nelly was living at John Howe Peyton’s Alleghany County, Virginia farm in 1823. Andrew, George, Alexander, Ned, Elvira, Lucy, Jenny, and an unknown number of children were also living at the Alleghany farm in 1823.

Nelly also stayed and worked at Montgomery Hall, cleaning and organizing at the time of Montgomery Hall’s completion in 1824.
