Patsy was appraised in 1847, $250.00. Patsy was sold at public auction at the Farm in Alleghany County, Virginia on November 15, 1847 to Michael Quinlan, $310.00. Harriet was sold to Michael Quinlan the same day. Michael Quinlan lived in Staunton/Augusta County, Virginia.
Michael Quinlan was born in Ireland and of the Catholic faith. He donated the land for the Catholic church in Staunton. Quinlan’s wife died in 1849 and he died on May 26, 1850. They are buried in the Trinity Episcopal churchyard in Staunton. John Brown Baldwin was executor of Quinlan’s estate, all of which he left to his six children: Mary, Edward, Robert, Michael, Daniel, and Patrick.
Patsy was sold January 1,1851 to S. B. Brown, $455.00. S. B. Brown also purchased Harriet and Milly from Quinlan’s estate.
