John Howe Peyton's Montgomery Hall

Cornelia Bernard Peyton (1843-1935)

Cornelia Bernard Peyton, the youngest child of John Howe Peyton and Ann Montgomery Lewis, was born at Montgomery Hall February 1, 1843. She died in October, 1935 and is buried in Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton, Virginia. She married her first husband, Dr. Thomas E. Brown, of Abingdon, Virginia, on October 8, 1868 at Trinity Church in Staunton. She married her second husband, William Hastings Greene (1843-1912) April 15, 1878. They lived at Oaklands, near Staunton. William Hastings Greene is buried in Thornrose Cemetery. Her third husband, Charles Pankey Winston, (1848-1924), is buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.
