John Howe Peyton (1778-1847)

John Howe Peyton was born April 29, 1778 at Stony Hill in Stafford County, Virginia. He was the second son of John Rowzee Peyton and Anne Hooe. He died April 3, 1847 at Montgomery Hall near Staunton, Virginia. He is buried in Trinity Churchyard, Staunton, Virginia. John Howe Peyton married Susan Smith Madison (1780-1820) on August 11, 1802. After the death of his first wife, he married her cousin, Ann Montgomery Lewis, on September 13, 1821 in Sweet Springs, Virginia, now West Virginia
