John A. Kennedy and Kerah M. Carter Kennedy

John Arthur Kennedy (1876-1941) and his wife, Kerah M. Carter Kennedy (1876-1959), purchased the Montgomery Hall property from Bates Warren and Lisette Bell Warren in 1913. The property (consisting of the same acreage conveyed by Emma J. Walter and Frank Walter to Bates Warren March 14, 1911) was conveyed by deed on August 23, 1913.

Some of Kennedy’s children were born at Montgomery Hall. John A. Kennedy and Kerah C. Kennedy were buried in Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton.
