Mary Preston Peyton (1829-1907)

Mary Preston Peyton, daughter of John Howe Peyton and Ann Montgomery Lewis, was born April 18, 1829 at Montgomery Hall. She died November, 1907 in Annapolis, Maryland and is buried in Woodbine Cemetery, in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She married Robert Asher Gray (1826-1887) of Harrisonburg on July 30, 1850 at Montgomery Hall, just over two weeks after her mother’s death. They lived at Hilltop in Harrisonburg/Rockingham, Virginia.
